I think Elements and the new Client Review looks great. I think it’s the way forward for me as an independent adviser, because it puts me in the same position as large national firms, in terms of their very slick presentation. It allows me to wealth manage a client’s portfolio, whether it’s for old or new products and present it to the client in an easily identifiable and understandable manner, which is really good. I think independent advisers have to look as slick as other, perhaps larger organisations.
It’s a positive that the new Client Review has whetted our appetite for Elements as advisers. Now we are looking forward to getting much more from it in future.
I know my clients will very much appreciate the quality of the reporting from the new Client Review – I am absolutely convinced of that. I have already described it to clients as my new investment proposition for them, giving them greater understanding of how and where they are invested.
The new Client Review takes away all the old stress of assessing a client’s risk profile, making a recommendation and then collating all that together into one presentation. It also certainly resolves the now annual MiFID II requirement of what is appropriate for the client. Elements takes away all of that pressure, because, many times, a lot of reports you produce for clients are about maintaining the status quo in their portfolio.
The new Client Review sets out everything very clearly, very simply and creates a record of it, so, in that sense, it’s very good for clients, because it shows that as an adviser you are on board with what they are trying to achieve. As we have said, it also solves those compliance issues for you.
It will definitely save me time. I think it’s unique and streets ahead of anything else potentially available for independent advisers. There’s nothing else out there that delivers as well for the adviser-client relationship, as well as compliance solutions.
