Dynamic Planner’s independent investment risk profiling service provides a tried and tested assessment of the expected long-term risk characteristics of an investment fund or model portfolio.
Our risk analysis is uniquely robust, drilling into a solution’s underlying holdings, which are shared directly by the fund’s manager, and provide a granular assessment of its risk in relation to Dynamic Planner’s 75 asset class asset risk model. The correlations and covariances of each holding are carefully unpacked to reach a final risk profile for a solution.
Our award winning platform enables advisers to match clients with your solutions with confidence while meeting and exceeding the regulator’s suitability requirements.

How we risk profile funds
Dynamic Planner’s research uses information sourced directly from asset managers, product providers and investment platforms. Risk profiling is based on your holdings, trading and tactics, to provide you and your clients with the most thorough assessment of expected risk and reward available.
Dynamic Planner’s powerful, forward-looking asset risk model has consistently delivered over its 19 year history, performing within expected value at risk targets through periods of elevated market risk, including the 2008 financial crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic. It is built on academic principles and overseen by Dynamic Planner’s Investment Committee, which includes internal and external specialists. The Committee meets each quarter to assess and review the benchmark asset allocations for the 1-10 Dynamic Planner risk profiles.
