Billing Manager (12-month FTC)

Role purpose

To manage the end-to-end billing process ensuring invoices and cancellations are processed in a timely manner in line with contractual terms, direct debits are updated accordingly, and customer queries are addressed promptly.

Key responsibilities

Ownership of the Billing function including the following:

  • Raise and send all sales invoices via Salesforce and Xero including:
    • New orders
    • Renewals
    • Additional users
    • Ensuring alignment with contractual terms.
  • Process changes requested by customers including:
    • Novations
    • Partial & full cancellations
  • Ensure customer direct debit requests are setup accurately in PaySuite and collected successfully
  • Post and allocate customer receipts in Xero
  • Maintain a clean and tidy sales ledger at all times including resolution of any anomalies
  • Follow up and resolve any bounced direct debit requests alongside our Customer Success and Legal teams
  • Generate and distribute customer statements
  • Field customer queries via phone and email, providing a high level of customer service
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments and resolve billing disputes and discrepancies
  • Create new customer accounts and maintain the integrity of our customer master data
  • Management of the shared accounts inbox ensuring we meet our 48 hour response time SLA
  • Maintain deferred income balances by customer and invoice

Key attributes & skills

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Accounts Receivable role
  • The ability to deal with processing high volumes of transactions to tight deadlines whilst not compromising accuracy
  • A focus on providing great customer service and communication to internal & external stakeholders
  • A desire to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
  • Ability to prioritise your workload and be organised
