Risk & Compliance Lead

Location: Hybrid / Reading

The role of the Risk & Compliance Lead is critical to the organisation to enable it to achieve its objectives. This role will ensure that Dynamic Planner is an industry leader in our approach to risk and compliance.

The role will act as an internal audit function, and will work with colleagues at all levels across the business to enable positive and proactive risk management and compliance behaviours, ensuring they are embedded across the organisation and second-nature to our people.

Job responsibilities

Risk and audit

  • Facilitate risk management discussions, working with colleagues across Dynamic Planner
  • Maintain the risk register, ensuring it focusses on key risks, and is accurate and up to date
  • Act as an internal audit function
  • Lead on the development of a communication and training programme to support the embedding of risk management and compliance across the organisation

Compliance

To maintain:

  • ISO27001 – information security management with IT Operations Manager

To support in achieving:

  • ISO42001 – AI and management with IT Operations Manager

To assess for suitability:

  • ISO9001 – quality management with Head of Customer Success
  • ISO14001 – environmental management with Head of Operations
  • ISO50001 – energy management with Head of Operations
  • ISO45001 – occupational health and safety with Head of Operations

 

  • To enable delivery of compliant ways of working, provide guidance and facilitate staff development in this area
  • To support the organisation’s current and future ventures to identify possible compliance risk, and mitigate as appropriate

Security and Governance

  • Support IT Operations colleagues in ensuring Dynamic Planner’s data and systems are secure
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer in their role as Dynamic Planner’s Data Protection Officer
  • Business-wide security support – working with IT Operations to make us industry-leading in our approach
  • Support stakeholders to ensure security is efficiently and effectively delivered. We want it to be ingrained in how our people work day-to-day

Other

  • Support in RFI and RFP responses
  • Be a central point of expertise in communicating our approach to risk to external parties, clients and prospects
  • Support in responses to information requests

Knowledge and experience

  • Experience of risk management
  • Risk or audit roles with a successful track record at a similar level
  • Proven track record in establishing strong working relationships with business-wide stakeholders
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Good understanding of risk and control frameworks and risk management principles.
  • Experience in financial services is desirable but not essential
