Principal Product Manager

Role purpose

Dynamic Planner is a key part of a broad, complicated, and highly detailed ecosystem of platforms, providers, technology partners, and data sources. We are proud of our market leading integrations estate, and our Open API capabilities, and continue to build on these with our

  • Provider, Ecosystem & Platform relationships, including our valuations, integration partners, third party technical partners
  • Open API for customers, ecosystem partners and Advice firms
  • Commercialisation strategy that blends data access, usage-based pricing, and strategic new partnerships to ensure we’re complementing the market and competing in market

This role owns the end-to-end productisation and monetisation of our Integrations and third party integration partnerships. You’ll work closely with product, software, data and AI engineers, commercial leadership, and compliance leaders to translate our ambitions into clear, actionable and market leading integrations.

Key responsibilities

Integration Partner Management

  • Proactive partner relationship management across existing integrations
  • Reactive management of partner changes, upgrade and enhancements
  • Cultivating new partnerships through keen market monitoring and proactive outreach

Product Strategy & Commercialisation

  • Work with the Product team to prioritise a tactical short-term roadmap, and a 12–24 month roadmap for our integrations partnerships
  • Propose and lead on business and partnership models (license, tiered API, embedded UX, or per-event pricing)
  • Leading cross-functional teams, indirectly and directly to deliver on company goals. This may include line management as required.
  • Work alongside product owners & solutions architects to ensure we are meeting market and customer requirements as well as our business and technical goals

Go-to-Market (GTM) & Adoption

  • Package value propositions for commercial and technical buyers
  • Co-lead launch plans with Marketing and Sales
  • Educate, train, and support our GTM colleagues in day-to-day support queries, sales requests, or troubleshooting

Competencies (knowledge/skills/experience)

  • Technical proficiency: Hands-on experience with APIs. Familiarity with Python, SQL, or Power BI for data analysis is often required
  • Project governance: Mastery of Agile or Scrum frameworks to manage complex rollout plans and milestones
  • Regulatory knowledge: Awareness of UK-specific frameworks for financial advice, including FCA and PRA rules, and GDPR
  • Stakeholder management: The ability to “translate” complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences, such as legal, sales, or executive teams
  • Professional background: Typically, 3–8 years in technical integration management, implementation, or professional services, preferably within FinTech or B2B SaaS
  • System experience: Direct experience with major financial systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce
  • Industry context: Previous work in regulated environments, handling data migrations and post-acquisition integrations
  • Education & certification: A degree in Computer Science, Finance, or Business. Professional certifications like PMP, Prince2, are common desirable but not essential
  • Thrive across every stage of relationship management, from initial engagement to complex commercial negotiation
  • Blend sharp commercial insight with rigorous product delivery discipline to drive strong outcomes
