Targeted Support

Shaping the future of delivering advice

Targeted support is central to the FCA’s Advice Guidance Boundary Review, designed to bridge the gap between people who have no access to support and full, holistic advice so more can access meaningful help with pensions and investments.

For advice firms, it is both a regulatory challenge and a business opportunity, reshaping how you segment clients, design journeys and evidence Consumer Duty outcomes. Dynamic Planner is here to help you interpret the new regime and turn it into something practical, from data and risk profiling through to communications, so you can deliver targeted support that clients trust and act on.

Build it and they will feel more informed: Consumer study

Dr Louis Williams, Head of Psychology and Behavioural Insights at Dynamic Planner, researched and studied 1000 consumers to explore their views and behaviours towards targeted support.

The research reveals a clear appetite for help, but also real confusion about when to seek it and who to trust. Cost, confidence and past experiences all play a part. The findings challenge common assumptions about how people make decisions about their money.

The report also tests how consumers respond to targeted support compared with simpler guidance, and what they are willing to share in return for more tailored suggestions. It highlights key opportunities, risks and next steps for firms. Download the full report to explore the insights in depth.
